Dr. Smith is honored to be a speaker at the 2024 World Congress on Pain, taking place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, August 5-9.

IASP’s World Congress on Pain is the largest gathering of pain professionals in the world, bringing together more than 5,000 scientists, clinicians, and healthcare providers from around the world and across pain disciplines.

Dr Smith is giving two presentations while in Amsterdam. One is a report on the results of a recent clinical trial that evaluated a new investigational medication for treatment of diabetic neuropathy pain. The StudyMetrix team was instrumental in designing and performing the study which showed positive results. Hopefully this will help bring a new innovative treatment to people who suffer greatly from diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage). In the other presentation, Dr Smith is speaking to international researchers and clinicians about new research design and methods StudyMetrix Research has been utilizing in collaboration with one of our sponsor companies. These new processes and workflows have enabled us to make clinical trials more efficient. It is our hope these efforts will help make the drug development process less expensive and more efficient.
